Russ Bartlett, of the T-6's Business Development, added that the T-6B’s export version is called the T-6C, “which is an upgraded aircraft with a hardpoint wing. Morocco is the lead customer for the T-6C, and they’ve signed an FMS case for 24 aircraft (and two simulators) and we’ll start delivering those in late 2010, though 2012.” The hardpoint wing gives customers the capability to carry external fuel tanks, practice bombs, weaponry, etc. Bartlett pointed out that the Moroccans are using their hardpoint wings for fuel tanks.

Before lunch, Philippe gave me a tour of the outdoor display area, where various aircraft and weaponry were arrayed in circular fashion around a Mirage F1 upgraded to the MF2000 standard with new electronics from Sagem and Thales. Operating through the Astrac joint venture, the companies currently are upgrading Mirage F1s operated by Morocco.
