La BBC informa de dos fallecidos y al menos 23 heridos.

Personalmente conozco la zona, y podría haber sido mucho peor.Aunque no fuera un día festivo como hoy por el maratón, esta repleto de estudiantes, gente que va o viene del trabajo y además hay un parque cercano.

Solo he estado 2 veces en Boston, pero recuerdo que el Fenway Park de Red Sox no esta muy lejos, incluso pienso que es el mismo calle. Cualquier mannana en una ciudad principal American como New York, Los Angeles o Chicago es una masacre explotar bombas en la calle.

A number of Palestinians had danced in the street in celebration of the 9/11 attacks in 2001 on the World Trade Center and Washington resulting in the deaths of thousands of Americans.The head of an Islamic terror organization in Jordan - the Muslim Salafi group says he’s “happy to see the horror in America” after the bombing attacks in Boston.“American blood isn’t more precious than Muslim blood,” said Mohammad al-Chalabi, who was convicted in an al-Qaeda-linked plot to attack US and other Western diplomatic missions in Jordan in 2003.“Let the Americans feel the pain we endured by their armies occupying Iraq and Afghanistan and killing our people there,” he said today.A Mideast counterterrorism official based in Jordan said the blasts “carry the hallmark of an organized terrorist group, like al-Qaeda.” The New York Post has reported that at least 12 people are dead and over 100 injured – including up to 15 with amputated limbs – after two bombs ripped through the finish line of the Boston Marathon.Police and FBI were guarding a person of interest at a local hospital, according to a New York Post report confirmed by Fox News. The person, who sources said was 20 years old, had severe burns, but authorities had not determined whether the person was a victim or a perpetrator. Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis said during a press conference that no suspect has yet been charged.
The Boston terror bombings took place just before 3 p.m. and reports of two other unexploded bombs were found near the scene reinforced that this was indeed a terrorist attack. Intelligence officials told The Associated Press two unexploded devices were being dismantled. Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the bloody chaos, while some witnesses reported seeing victims with lost limbs.

me refiero a organizaciones conocidas...de EEUU sólo me viene a la cabeza ahora mismo los anti-abortistas, los supremacistas, los ultranacionalistas, y poco más...pero no veo relación entre las bombas y éstos...es decir:
- O es un lobo solitario
- O se le ha escapado al FBI un grupo (2 o +)

En esa gentuza es lo normal, también lo hicieron el 11S o cuando un comando palestino asesinó a una familia israelí en Itaram, como me dijo alguien en Israel hace tiempo, la gente de ver celebra sus éxitos, los miserables se han de consolar con celebrar las desgracias ajenas, ¡ que mal me cae esa gente!

Seguramente será algún lobo solitario con ideas islamistas, antisociales o de alguna secta. No puede ser de ninguna organización importante, pues las bombas son bastante ''rudimentarias'' o de baja potencia, no me quiero imaginar como habria acabado la tragedia de ser artefactos potentísimos, una masacre. Es más, un islamista de Jordania ex-preso de guantánamo, he leido hoy en la Vanguardia que manifestaba ''estar feliz por el sufrimiento del pueblo norteamericano hoy'' Además hace poco detuvieron a un par de barbudos que intentaron atentar en Boston. Por la coordinación de los atentados y demás, todo apunta a que han sido unos cadetes de algun grupo de la ideologia que he mencionado. Quizás sea la antesala a algo peor.

Yo descartaría a los islamistas organizados tipo AQ. Esos no te montan un atentado por menos de cincuenta muertos.

U.S. Arrests Saudi Student in Bomb Plot


A 20-year-old Saudi Arabian student living in Texas has been arrested by federal agents, who charged him with planning to build bombs for terror attacks in the United States, the Justice Department announced Thursday. According to an affidavit filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the student, Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, indicated in online research and in a journal that he was considering attacking the Dallas residence of former President George W. Bush as well as hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plants, nightclubs and the homes of soldiers who were formerly stationed at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.Mr. Aldawsari, a business major at South Plains College in Lubbock, Tex., is in the United States legally on a student visa, the bureau said. He came to the government’s attention on Feb. 1, when a North Carolina supply company reported that he had tried to order five liters of a chemical that can be used to make an explosive.
A subsequent investigation found that he had already obtained large supplies of the other two chemicals needed for the explosive compound — trinitrophenol or TNP — in December, court documents said.

“Aldawsari purchased ingredients to construct an explosive device and was actively researching potential targets in the United States,” said David Kris, the assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s national security division. “Thanks to the efforts of many agents, analysts and prosecutors, this plot was thwarted before it could advance further.”

Bueno, aquí dice que se trata de un musulmán haciendo la "Guerra Santa" por su cuenta, lo que no se entiende es como si ya tenían vigilado a este "estudiante" árabe saudí desde hace tiempo no hayan sido capaces de prevenir sus actos.
