General Robert E. Lee's Headquarters Flag

On Lee's headquarters flag, the stars are arranged in the so–called Bread of Life pattern. According to the historian Joseph H. Crute Jr. the pattern represents the Ark of the Covenant and was "symbolic of the Bread of Life which is the symbol of spiritual nourishment." The scholar Robert N. Rosen further argues that such imagery is "consistent with Southerners' fascination with ancient Israel" and Old Testament symbols.

Bueno, más que alusión era lo perpetrado en la cita:

En la lámina no se aprecia bien y, dada la avanzada edad de algunos, en ese enlace la pueden ampliar.

En cuanto a lo que perpetran the historian Joseph H. Crute Jr. y the scholar Robert N. Rosen, al respecto del simbolismo, pueden existir, y de hecho existen, ciertas discrepancias.

Posiblemente algo se hablará en la próxima lámina de Gettysburg. Aunque ello suponga get in a garden sin flogüers.

Supongo, pero eso lo tiene que hacer un especialista. Quiero decir que en un fusa no es tan fácil como en una máquina o un fusam, que ya están diseñados para que tal acción sea sencilla.

The convoy’s order of march consisted of a tank, followed by two ACAVs, two 2.5-ton trucks, another ACAV and a tank at the rear of the column. An armed helicopter acting as an escort accompanied it and there was also a forward air controller in a fixed-wing aircraft overhead. There was an unusual absence of civilian activity in Suoi Cat, an unmistakable sign of a likely enemy attack. Elephant grass around 1.2–1.5m (4–5ft) high grew along both sides of the road beyond the village, extending out some 60m (200ft) before merging into heavier vegetation. Just after leaving Suoi Cat, the platoon commander, riding in the lead tank, accidentally moved his gunner override control while turning to observe the surrounding area, causing the turret to unexpectedly traverse to the right. The movement of the turret apparently caused the VC to believe that they had been detected and they prematurely detonated a mine about 10m (30ft) ahead of the tank, triggering the ambush. As both sides opened fire, the platoon leader, wounded by mine fragments, immediately radioed that he was in contact with the enemy. The bulk of the convoy was able to fight its way through the ambush, although one of the ACAVs burst into flames at the eastern edge of the kill zone after being
hit four times.
